The question in many minds is if a skin peel is right for them while others are asking which skin peel is right for them. I would beg to differ, asking instead is there anyone that skin peels are appropriate for. No matter what kind you get, essentially it burns the skin to lift away a small layer of the skin. Now it has been used for various reasons as it can obviously kill bacteria….along with all your precious skin cells! In this, you might think that it could actually accelerate the process of aging among other things, which I think is valid.
But still people flock to get chemical peels. Now if you’re going to do it, I would suggest at least go with one of the milder kinds. For example, a light or superficial peel removes only a few top skin layers. A medium peel removes a few more layers, and a deep peel removes quite a few layers that you might not want to lose, especially as your skin thins as it ages. But if that makes no sense to you, think about this. Light peels are less likely to cause skin damage in general, and at a medical spa, you would only pay $100. This is compared to the hundreds of even thousands you would spend for a medium or deep peel.
