Fat Injections For Aging - July 15th, 2009

Fat transfers, they are now used for wrinkles and scars in general.  It is taken from one part of your body, and it obviously doesn’t have the same problems as say botox in terms of side effects.  It can make deep and noticeable scars smaller and can recreate volume in the cheeks, under eyes, and lips.  They remove fatty tissue from another part of the body such as the stomach, thighs, butt, or neck or jowls.  They use liposuction and then purify them to meet a certain standard.

Then they transfer it to the face, in any area that needs plumping.  Unfortunately, with this process it comes with all of the problems of liposuction and more.  Frankly, your body is used to having a certain number of fat cells in certain areas.  So if you take fat cells out, your body panics, and it may actually create trouble spots you never had before.  Second, while they implant the fat in certain areas, they could move around.  In short, just like any kind of filler, they could move to another area of your face, neck, or even down through your body, sometimes creating an unsightly lump or otherwise.  So it’s not exactly the best way to go about it, and it can have problems of its own.
